Mollie Carolyn Magee (right), a junior from Mendenhall, Mississippi, gets a congratulatory hug from Pam Stahnke upon being named Miss Southern at the annual pageant at the University of Southern Mississippi Friday night. Miss Stahnke, Miss Southern of 1974, crowned her successor. Miss Magee will represent Southern in the Miss Mississippi Pageant this summer in Vicksburg.
