Speaker of the House John W. McCormack and his wife stop to talk to Mrs. Jean Cahill (right) of the Dorchester section of Boston as she combined airing her son Gerald, four months, and campaigning for Edward J. McCormack, Jr., who seeks the Democratic nomination to the U.S. Senate seat in the Massachusetts primary. Ed McCormack, a nephew to the Speaker of the House opposes Edward M. (Ted) Kennedy, youngest brother of President John F. Kennedy.
