Thick smoke rises from the burning chapel of the House of Commons after explosions had erupted Monday morning. The cause of the explosion has not been confirmed but the British Press Association had an anonymous phone cal in which the caller said "there is a bomb due to go off at the House of Commons in six minutes time." The agency said the man refused to say where the bomb had been placed and added that he used the code known to Scotland Yard as a verification the warning was authentic.
