A crown estimated at more than 5,000 demonstrate in downtown Rome's Piazza del Popolo (Popular Square) today bearing such signs as "Divorce Now," as they demand that the Italian government legalize divorce under certain conditions. Italy does not allow divorces. The rally was organized by the Italian Divorce League which supports a bill by a Socialist deputy, Loris Fortuna.
