The confirmation of Vice President-designate Gerald Ford cleared the Senate by a vote of 92 to 3 and two of the three senators who voted against Ford, William Hathaway, D-MA, left and Gaylord Nelson, D-WI, discuss the vote. The other senator to vote against Ford was Thomas Eagleton.
