Description
Antoine Gizenga, former vice president of the Congo central government and leader in rebellious Oriental province, sits in his room at Mbula-Bemba, an island on the Congo River estuary near Kitona. Gizenga is now under "guarded residence" on the island. This picture was made on April 17 during a visit to him from a police chief and a Russian newspaperman.
