H.E. Gilbert, left, President of the AFL-CIO Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and Joseph L. Raugh, Jr., union attorney, go to the U.S. Courthouse in Washington today. Federal Judge Alexander Holtzoff ordered the striking union to show cause why it should not be held in contempt of court and fined $500,000 for every day it continued its walkout of the nation's major railroads.
