1968 Press Photo Treasury Secretary Henry Fowler speaks of U.S. dollar value

Secretary of the Treasury Henry Fowler said Monday he was confident that decisions taken over the weekend in Western Europe will cope successively with a threatened international monetary crisis. Fowler said the German mark is not going to be devalued and added he was quite encouraged about the British pound holding its own. He said the European decision will not affect the value of the U.S. dollar in any way.
