Polaris missile breaks surface of the ocean during test firing in February from a submarine. The Atomic Energy Commission and Defense Department announced yesterday the firing of the Polaris long range ballistic missile armed for the first time with a nuclear warhead. The firing yesterday was part of the tests at Christmas Island in the Pacific.
