Douglas of the United States Supreme Court and his bride, the former Mrs. Mercedes Hester Davidson, are pictured (center) following their marriage at the home of the bride's parents in Tallulah, Louisiana. Hester, the bride's mother; Justice and Mrs. Douglas; Sheriff Hester, and Mrs. Strickland. Douglas, 56, was divorced last year by his wife Mildred; Mrs. Douglas, 37, a member of the jurist's Washington staff, was divorced three years ago from her husband, Girard Davidson, former assistant secretary of the interior.
