1966 Press Photo Potted pothos plant at Joy De Wald home in Louisiana

Heart-shaped leaves are thick, shiny. Plant is kept in a 6-inch pot inside a rattan basket. A five-year-old potted pothos plant whose leaves spread over an entire wall of the den is a curiosity at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joy De Wald, 4675 Lurleen, Lakeland Terrace, Louisiana. Mrs. De Wald obtained the plant in a dime store at Fort Lee, Virginia, before she moved here five years ago following her husbandE™s retirement as a major in the United States Army. It soon got out of hand,E she explains.
