Description
Quick thinking and a knowledge of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation enabled a 26-year-old patrolman, William Roever, to twice save the life of a New Orleans man. Here is how Roever tells the story. "Patrolman Terry Parta and Auxiliary police Sgt. Ralph Levy were called to the Clyde Bel Sr. residence, 4439 S. Galvez, Saturday at about 10 a.m." said Roever. "When we got there, Bel's son-in-law, Edward Buchert Jr., was gasping for breath. Our first thought was to call the police emergency unit, but we found out it was on a call. So we decided to take Mr. Buchert in our car to the Baptist Hospital.
