Newest and largest generating unit at New Orleans Public Service's Michoud Steam-Electric Generating Station is Unit Number 3 (right). It is situated on the Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet near Raris rd. Completion of the unit, which has a capability of 550,000 kilowatts, brought the total generating capabilty of the three units at Michoud Station to 907,000 kilowatts.
