Theron "Terry" Hayes at work in his converted-garage studio at 607 Nashville avenue. He bases hi World Way I painting on accurate research and his knowledge of flying. English flying ace Stuart Culley climbs into his tiny biplane, makes a daring takeoff from a raft towed behind a destroyer, and plays a deadly, cloud shrouded game of hide-and-seak with a bomb laden zeppelin. Single-handed, Culley makes a lethal attack on the dirigible, sending it into the North Sea in flames. It is August 11, 1918. Heading for a furlough in England, flying his Sopwith Snipe, pilot Billy Barker finds himself surrounded by 60-odd German planes, gives them a good fight, and miraculously escapes.But he spends his furlough in a French hospital. It is October, 1918. Nienport XVII (French) in dogfight with Albatross DIII German Model Albatross DIII.
