Description
Kathie Giddings of Shreveport (left) has spent almost 11 months in New Orleans, but they were not the happiest of her life. She underwent physical therapy at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine after an automobile accident left her paralyzed from the neck down. She left for home Saturday to get married. Mrs. Rose Jones, one of her nurses (center), and Cathy Ducote, her vocational rehabilitation counselor, helped make her stay more pleasant. Kathie Giddings used to race sports cars, play the violin for the Northwest State College Symphony in Natchitoches and study at the college before an automobile accident in Arkansas 11 months ago left her a quadriplegic.

Photo is dated 1973.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
