Barber (center), director of the Southern Forest Experiment Station. Looking on is Miss Mildred Fossier, City Parkway and Park Commissioner superintendent. The presentation was made in front of Perseverance Hall, at St. Claude Avenue and Dumaine Street, to be part of the park. The trees, as seeds, were among items carried aboard the Apollo XIV mission in 1971.
