Description
Tony Curtis and Yul Brynner lead their Cossack warriors into battle in Harold Hecht's "Taras Bulba" color spectacle for United Artists on location in Salta, Argentina. Hecht and Director J. Lee Thompson chose Salta because it duplicates the Russian Steppes and could supply 10,000 skilled horsemen and horses necessary for the great battle scenes in this Nikolai Gogol classic about the Cossacks fighting the Poles for their freedom 400 years ago. In "Taras Bulba," Brynner's noggin had only one queue. United Artists, "Taras Bulba"

Photo is dated 1963.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
