Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty and Stockard Channing are the stars of Mike Nichols new comedy film, "The Fortune," a Columbia Pictures release. In the film, set in the 1920s, Beatty and Nicholson portray two unscrupulous men intent upon removing a wealthy heiress, played by Stockard Channing, from her fortune, by means fair or foul, by marriage or murder. The motion picture is Nichols' first comedy since his award-winning "The Graduate" in 1967. "The Fortune" was co-produced by Nichols and Don Devlin and directed by Nichols from a screenplay by Adrien Joyce. Hank Moonjean is the executive producer.
