Defense Secretary Mcnamara talked with Major General John Norton, commander of the 1st air cavalry, during a Wednesday visit to Phu Cat on South Vietnam's central coast. The town is the base for Operation Irving, in which the American air cavalry and Korean and South Vietnamese troops have been accumulating the war's biggest bag of North Vietnamese and Vietcong prisoners.
