Taking off --- A French Roland missile roared away from a launch pad at the Landes Test Station in France toward a target plane in the first public test of the French surface to air missile with which France hopes to enlarge the the export market for its rocket weapons. The antiaircraft weapon was developed by SNIA, the French national aerospace company, in co-operation with Germany's Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm.
