Description
Miami, Florida: No more pretentious or luxurious accommodations could be realized than that provided by Pan American Airways in its lavish passenger and mail services over 18,000 miles to Central and South American countries. Here is a view of the United States Customs Immigration and Health Inspection division at the Pan American airport at Miami, Florida, where more that 30,000 passengers from South America passed through last year. More than fifty large multi-motored planes operate on a schedule with military precision running daily between Miami, Nassau, Havana, Cuba, Port Au Prince, Haiti, Panama and Paramaribo, Dutch Guiana, and 15 other Latin American countries.

Photo is dated 1930.
