The S.S. America Racer, the first American cargoliner built from the keel up as a fully automated vessel, made her maiden call in New York Harbor today. The advanced design ship, which hit speeds of 24.8 knots during her sea trials, is owned by United States Lines Company. She carries refrigerated, regular and liquid cargos. The Racer sports numerous marine "firsts" in design and construction. --- (Ships - R)
