Description
Untouched by the winds of progress the dusty corridors of the Tunisian Casbah (native quarters) remains the same. A stall merchant and a young boy sit in an alcove to read quietly among the bustling noises heard in the market place. A slight note of the modern world is seen with a beauty queen poster (above old man) which proves the Bedouins Arab men are like men throughout the world when it comes to pin-ups. Although the native women of the North African state are well concealed in yards of swirling draped fabric. (Tunisia - People)

Photo is dated 1962.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
