A city fire department scuba diver, firefighter Gerald Ballering, went through his paces Thursday at a demonstration by the department's underwater rescue and recovery team. In the rubber raft was Rosario Consiglio, an instructor. The demonstration, which marked conclusion of a training course, was held in the Kinnickinnic River at 2011 South 1st Street.
