Leveled houses and stripped trees remained Friday after a gas main blew up in a residential area of Kansas City, Missouri. Fire after the blast destroyed 11 homes and damaged 11 more. Four persons were injured, none seriously. The 30 inch main opened a hole about 30 feet across and 15 feet deep at a street intersection. (Disasters, explosions, United States)
