Description
A north side home was blown apart by an explosion Wednesday morning and a family of three was injured. The blast and fire which followed at 4857 N. 71st st., were caused by gas escaping from an open pipe and ignited by an unknown source, according to a fire department official. Treated for burns and cuts at the county general hospital were George Miller, 56, his wife, Nora, 53, and their daughter Gale, 15. The family had moved into the frame structure only Tuesday.
