1964 Press Photo Milwaukee Chapter of Wisconsin Assoc. tour radio station

For the first time in their lives, about 50 members of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Wisconsin Association of the Deaf were introduced Thursday to radio when they toured Radio City, 720 E. Capitol Drive. The Milwaukee Journal's radio and television facilities. Only four in the group had ever heard radio. Mrs. Thomas Freestone (far right) 2413 S. 5th Street whose husband is deaf, translated into sign language the explanations given to the visitors.
