Description
The comet Arend-Roland, which was photographed by Dr. George O.Abell at Mt. Palomar Observatory on February 21, 1957, is shown about 170,000,000 miles from earth. The comet whose brightness was so low as to be invisible to the naked eye, will become easily visible in the evening sky toward the end of April and may rival the brightness of Halley's comet, last seen in 1910.

Photo is dated 1957.

Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches.
