Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
The well attended retirement tea for Dustine Weyher held in The Journal "Green Room" December 23 had a surprise feature. The seven classified managers and assistant manager, all of whom Justine had "trained" presented her with a beautiful black handbag and matching umbrella accompanied by a huge card with the men's heads around a seated Justine and a slogan, Miss Weyher's "College of Classified Knowledge." Harry Gwaltney, her first boss now retired and living in Flordia, naturally was not able to attend the party but Frank Page now of Page-Schwessinger agency made it. From the left to right in the picture are the classified "starters" with their present titles: Robert K. F. Drew, business manager; Warren Heyse, classified advertising manager; Charles K. Clarke, advertising manager; Homer Bendinger, advertising copy control, and Fred Gabriel, assistant classified advertising manager.

Photo is dated 1964.

Photo measures 10 x 7.75 inches.
