The Waukesha Noon Optimist Club recently sponsored its fifth annual pumpkin carving contest. More than 40 students participated, two fifth grade students and two eighth grade students from each of the city's elementary and middle schools attended the carving session at Piala's Nursery. Above; Saratoga School fifth grader Nick Cleveland, 10, makes a face as he makes a face while using a template to begin his jack-O'-latern.
