Long Beach, California - The MC-15 (MC15), prototype of a new cargo plane for the U.S. USAF United States Air Force, takes off Tuesday from the Long Beach Airport on its maiden flight. The 124-foot long plane a short takeoff and landing jet, was built by the Douglas Aircraft Division of the McDonnell Douglas Corp. The takeoff took 27 seconds and used up 3,000 feet of runway.
