Catholic cardinal. William John Conway, the Roman Catholic cardinal who is Archbishop of Armagh, has the title "Primate of All Ireland." this same title is borne by his Protestant counterpart, Church of Ireland Archbishop George O. Simms. Armagh, in Northern Ireland, and St. Patrick's ancient see, is the spiritual home of both sects in Ireland. The current primates were both born in the North and are close personal friends.
