Houston, TX: Mayor Lewis Cutrer signs his first proclamation ("do hereby proclaim the week of Jan. 19-26 to be YMCA Week in Houston") since taking office Jan. 2. Such special-week proclamations are one of the chores of the mayor's office and Cutrer will be asked to sign hundreds of them before his term expires.
