Lighting & Power Company, Houston Model and Beginnings-Three men who are directly connected with the huge new 220,000-kilowatt generator being installed at the Houston Lighting & Power Co.'s North Houston plant look over a model of the unit. They are, left to right; K.L. Skidmore, North Houston Plant Superintendent; John L. Pratt, Manager, Southwest region of Allis-Clalmers Manufacturing Co., and L.B Eddy, General Superintendent of construction for Ebasco Services, Inc., power plant design and construction specialists. The three are holding the model in front of the turbine deck area where the new unit will be placed. The model was presented this week to H.P. and L. by Allis-Chalmers. Ebasco is installing the unit.
