Thomas A. Fitzgerald of Boston, uncle of President-elect John F. Kennedy, and his wife hold the 15-pound Kennedy family Bible that the uncle says his nephew will put his hand on when he takes oath of office during the inaugural ceremony in Washington, D.C., January 20. Fitzgerald, a brother of the president elect's mother, says he doesn't know how old the Bible is, but says the birth of his grandparents in 1857 are recorded in it.
