Sen. Jacob Javits points toward newsmen at a New York press conference today at which time he suggested that Sen. Barry Goldwater step down as the titular head of the Republican Party. Javits, explaining his position, said that President Johnson's landslide in this week's election was a repudiation of what he called "radical views" of the GOP presidential ticket.
