Joseph T. Ferguson gestures on the stand before the senate elections subcommittee today where he contended that spending to re-elect Senator Robert Taft in 1950 could be figured at $100,000,000 -- using the same approach Taft did in putting costs of the Ferguson campaign at $2,000,000. Ferguson, Democrat , lost the election to Taft by 430,000 votes.
