President and Mrs. Eisenhower today gave each member of the White House staff the above twin pictures of themselves with engraved autographs and a holiday greeting. In other years, the Eisenhower's Christmas present to the staff has been a reproduction of an Eisenhower oil painting. The photo of Eisenhower was taken by Willard Volz during the 1956 political campaign opening address. The First Lady's photo was taken from an oil painting by New York artist Thomas E Stephens and shows her in her 1956 inaugural gown.
