Spruille Braden, a former U.S. ambassador to Cuba an now head of the Citizens Committee for Free Cuba, said in Miami yesterday his organization has word that five Soviet ships are bound for Cuba with offensive missiles. The White House said it has no evidence of new weapons arriving in Cuba since 1962. It said Cubans have received replacements for surface-to-air defensive missiles to combat "shelf age."
