1967 Press Photo Ramsey Clark leaves White House after father retires Washington

Ramsey Clark, as he left the White House after President Johnson nominated him to be U.S. Attorney General yesterday. Shortly after the announcement, Ramsey's father, Associate Supreme Court Justice Tom C. Clark, said he would retire from the high court by June. The younger Clark has been acting attorney general since Nicholas Katzenbach became Under secretary of State last September.
