New York, February 9--Named Davis Cup Captain--Perry T. Jones (above), of Los Angeles, who helped steer the amateur careers of such players as Jack Kramer and Pancho Gonzales, was named today as new captain of the United States Davis Cup Team. He succeeds Billy Talbert. Jones has been regarded as the czar of Pacific Coast tennis for years.
