Description
After more than a decade of fighting and more than $120 billion of aid to South Vietnam, the United States began its final departure from Saigon on April 28, 1975. Marking the 20th anniversary of the dramatic evacuation, "The Fall of Saigon," a Discovery Journal Special, makes its world television premiere. Using interviews with key participants who lived through those grueling final hours and actual footage filmed during the Communist siege of Siagon, this original production chronicles the two-day panic-filled evacuation, which tested the mettle of those trapped inside the city. Pictured: Wounded American Marine rests as he is evacuated from a battle zone near Gia Binh, South Vietnam, September 23, 1966.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
