Gross, Harry (Gambling). New York. Harry Gross (left), 34, head of multi-million dollar gaming ring, is being held here under $250,000 bond and Artie Karp (right), 35, alleged payoff man in $20,000,000 Brooklyn gambling ring, was ordered kept under 24-hour guard as material witnesses in connection with grand jury probe of cop-bookie graft scandal. Karp gave himself up to district attorney's office and was hustled before the jury where, the attorney's office said, "Artie has named names - police names."
