Officers of re-born German Air Force visit U.S. bases - Hamilton Air Force Base, California . . . Lieutenant General Josef Kammhuber, second from left, chief of the re-born German Air Force, and members of his staff are shown at Hamilton Air Force Base on their tour of U.S. Air Force installations at the invitation of headquarters, U.S. Air Force. Lieutenant Colonel Kammhuber told newsmen "We are rapidly building up for Germany a tactical air force which will operate under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces. We will never be dominated by the Communists. We are now enjoying complete cooperation with the United States." Colonel James H.
