Infantrymen on maneuvers at the Army's Arctic Indoctrination Center at Big Delta, Alaska, are given training in the vital matter of crevasses. These huge trenches may open in the Arctic Ice without warming, engulfing men and equipment, then closing with enormous force. An instructor exhibits how to save a man who has been swallowed alive.
