Six persons in this veterans hospital were made ill when they ate of Arsenic loaded fudge received through the mail by Harrington Fitzgerald Jr. 34 a mentally ill war veteran patient Fitzgerald two other veterans, a hospital nurse and two hospital attendants were unconscious for several hours after eating the candy. Emergency saved their lives. Mrs. Sarah O Hobart 52 year old prominent society matron of Troy New York sister of Fitzgerald and one of his heirs was arrested at her home on that City and will be brought to Philadelphia to face an indictment charging her with sending the candy. Fitzgerald received the package on November 18th Six weeks investigation by agents of the Department of Justice led to Mrs. Hobart's arrest.S
