Sister Elizabeth Kenny, Famous for her great work in fighting against the ravages of Infantile Paralysis is shown as she placed a wreath at the tomb of The Unknown Soldier of the revolutionary War in the Old Presbyterian Cemetery in Alexandria, VA. She is the first subject ever to honor the hero of that war between the British and U.S. Colonies. Veterans invited sister Kenny to remain in America to continue her fight against Polio. She had offered to treat veterans and their children without cost for treatment or hospitalization.
