Scorning the career of statecraft or the life of a Japanese gentleman about town that might be his for the taking, Viscount Hindemaro Konoye, brother of the Premier of Japan, prefers to hew out a niche for himself in the world of music. He is shown as he lead the orchestra of the Hollywood Bowl in rehearsal for a Japanese ballet production, "Etenrako." at left he is putting the "soft pedal" on his musicians and at right, calling for more.
