Left to right former Senator William N. Butler of Massachusetts, who was campaign manager for Calvin Coolidge and James Burke, general counsel of the Republican Party who was caught conversing with Mr. Butler regarding the latter's acceptance of the permanent chairmanship of the National Republican Party to succeed Simeond Fess.
