U.M.W. Chief John L. Lewis abandoned his mystery man role today following service of a Federal Court order requiring him to explain why he should not be punished for contempt of court in refusing to halt the walkout of 400,000 coal miners and strolled leisurely to the Carlton Hotel for lunch. The Union leader is shown as he entered the hotel early today.
